Where can I find archery lessons in my area?

. asked:

I live near Philadelphia and I have very little archery experience (at a summer camp) I had a lot of fun and want to learn more. The only places near me that have archery listed seem to be hunting places which I am in no way interested in, I want more of the sport aspect of it. Does anybody know of a website that can direct me in the right direction regarding lessons or instruction?

Please don’t turn your nose up at “hunting places” as you call them, as most hunting clubs have or know of instuctors in the archery field, and no, you don’t have to kill animals to enlist their help.
Otherwise find an archery store that specializes in fine equipment and I’m sure they will lead you in the right direction, in fact, some local dealers even have their own instruction people.
In cases like this the old saying “let your fingers do the walking” is true, look in the yellow pages.

Go to the NAA website,. Go under Directory Search and look up your state. The NAA is the national governing body for Olympic archery in the US. Good luck and have fun shooting.
